Beer Fest a Big Hit!!

The get real ny craft beer and food festival was a incredible event.  La Bella Torte had and excellent time, and we had a hard time keeping up with the crowd.  Our biggest hits were of course, the cannoli's which didn't have a chance to touch a dish, the olive oil cakes which got raves, and our surprise brownies.  They were laced with hot pepper and surprised everyone.  And they kept coming back for more.  Here are some pictures.

Get Real NY Beer Festival

Today is the Get Real NY Beer Festival.  We're all set to go.  Chef Joe has been called away once again and we'll miss his, but that just means more beer for me!!

I'm very excited to see what beers go best with our desserts.  We have Spice brownies, made with red pepper, Olive oil rosemary orange cakes, genette cookies, and of course cannoli's.  Its sure to be an interesting evening.

A little Catch up

Just a little update on La Bella Torte,  Fashion's nigh out was an absolute success.  Everyone had a great time and really seemed to enjoy our tasty treats. Take a look at our spread, oh and the t-shirt is a cookie and its hand painted by chef AnnMarie.  

   This weekend we will be at the Redhook Mercado, so come down and buy some cannoli.  

La Bella Torte will also be at Get Real NY on Sept. 25 and 26 at the Altman Building on West 18th Street in Manhattan. This is a Craft Beer and Food Festival. Go to their website for more info and to purchase tickets. We'll be handing out sweets to go along with the beer.  We heard its an awesome event.

Meanwhile, Chef Joe has been kidnapped and brought to an undisclosed prison camp with a few other pastry chefs.  Hopefully everyone will make it out alive and live to bake another day.  Stay strong Joe!!

HOURS TO GO BEFORE WE EAT

Only  a few more hours before our Fashion's Night Out begins.  We're ready to  go, just waiting for the clock to move ahead to 6pm. Thats when the events starts at the Wagon at 1214 Union Street in brooklyn.  So come on guys light the lights, roll the red carpet out and get those papparzi going with the pictures, we're ready!!
